The Lostice Plain Air – July 2006
On July 3rd students from Art school in Prague 10 came to the Lostice area for the Summer Plein Air. The art teacher Josef Dudek and his 14 students are staying in the area for ten days to study history, create works of art inspired by local themes and to visit the Mohelnice Tower , Synagogue in Lostice, Zadlovice Park and other historic and natural sights.
This is their second Plein Air in Lostice this year. Their first stay in April was focused on the Lostice synagogue. Artworks and installations from their third Plein Air, which is scheduled for September, will be exhibited in the local synagogue. Presently reproductions of their drawings and paintigs from previous Plein Airs can be seen in the Lostice synagogue and on website of Respect and Tolerance (see Art Gallery ).
